Ginisang Talong/Sauteed Eggplant with Eggs

This is so far my favorite recipe for ginisang talong. The ingredients are the same with my previous recipe only that soy sauce wasn't used in this recipe. I am addicted to chicken bouillon cubes so I used that alone.
1 pc big eggplant, chopped and soaked in water
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 pc tomato, chopped
1 medium-sized onion chopped
1 yellow/red/green bell pepper
3-4 pcs eggs, julienned
1/2 to 3/4 chicken bouillon cube
1 tbsp cooking oil
Maggi savor (optional)
Heat cooking oil (medium heat). Stir-fry garlic, onion, bell pepper and tomato till tender. Drain eggplant and add to the pan. Cover and stir occasionally (15 min or more). Add chicken bouillon cube and stir. When eggplant is cooked (do not overcook), add the eggs and mix well. Cover for about a minute then stir again. Serve with rice. When serving, add Maggi savor on it or on your rice. It's really good!

Hotdogs on Sticks

One of my favorite snacks or food during kids' parties is the hotdog in stick. This is a common food served in parties among Filipinos. Kids love it and even adults too! I love it! The hotdog used is a Philippine product (PureFoods brand). It tastes different than the American hotdog. Since I got used with the taste, I like it better and it is perfect for parties. These hotdogs were grilled, it can also be fried then skewed. Also, a piece of marshmallow was added too. A cabbage was used for the stick to stay in place. When I prepared it at my son's birthday party, my guests who were not filipinos asked about it. When they tried it, thay have liked it. Have some!

Cheap Scrubs Online

I have a few friends who work in a medical field and they have mentioned that nursing scrubs are quite expensive. Probably because there are a lot of workers in the medical field and scrubs or medical uniforms are in demand.

It so happened that I had come across with the online store that sells cheap scrubs. I told them about it and hope they can find what they are looking for that fits their budget. At first, I thought, scrubs are made to order. But when I visited one store, I saw scrubs on sale. Then I realized, these uniforms are widely available in stores. Only that, they are pricey. Good thing that there are online stores which is easier to shop rather than going out and spend your gas to look for the price and the scrubs that you want. So if you are looking too. Just check out the online stores for nursing scrubs and uniforms.

Grilled Pork Chop

We have another healthy meal today. Hubby grilled some seasoned pork chops that we bought at a store. It was 'buy one get one free" deal so we had plenty to enjoy. I love pork chops but we just have to cook it well especially when grilled. Unlike steak which we can eat medium rare or rare. But I like mine well done. Anyway, we had baked potatoes with butter sprinkled with ground black pepper and salt, grilled pork chops and boiled green beans. Mmmmm so good!

Tinolang Manok with Potatoes (Chicken Soup)

This is a quick but tasty chicken soup. When making chicken soup, I still wish to have fresh chicken meat like in Philippines. We make a pot of soup with a whole native chicken in it. So tasty and delicious. Though this one is quite different from the one I got used with, this soup is still yummy especially when served hot and eaten with rice.
6 pieces of chicken parts (breasts/thighs/wings etc)
1 chicken bouillon cube
2-3 pcs potatoes, cubed
3-4 cups of water
black pepper
greens (spinach,malunggay,kale,bokchoy etc)
Boil chicken meat till half tender. Discard water. In a pot, add water, potatoes and chicken parts. Bring to a boil. Add bouillon cube and black pepper if desired when potatoes are tender. Boil for a few minutes then add greens when it's done. Let the greens be cooked without fire. Enjoy your chicken soup.
